Q  What is the main benefit of leasing?
A
  Contract Hire allows 100 per cent VAT reclaim on the purchase price of the vehicle, resulting in lower monthly payments for customers.

Q  Are maintenance costs included?
A
 A maintenance contract is optional but in most cases it is the most cost-effective solution.

Q  What are the credit criteria?
A
 Businesses must be VAT registered and trading for a minimum of two years.

Q  Can you take part exchanges?
A
  Yes. We can use any funds you make from the sale of your vehicle in the initial payment of your new vehicle, thereby reducing rentals.

Q  Is VAT chargeable and, if so, recoverable?
A
  Yes. VAT applies to the entire rental. 100 per cent of the service element can be reclaimed, and so can 50 per cent of the finance element.

Q  What are the options at the end of the contract?
A
 You can replace the vehicle with a new one, extend the contract, buy the vehicle or simply hand it back.

Q  Who owns the vehicle?
A
  We do, and as such we send you a road tax disc each year, paid for in the monthly rental.

Q  What initial payment is required?
A
  It depends on credit underwriting, but typically the initial payment is low compared to other forms of finance.

Q  What period are the contracts?
A
  Between two and five years – it’s your choice.

Q  Are the contracts flexible?
A
  Yes. The mileage allowance can be changed up or down to save money, and the duration of the contract extended.

Q  What about insurance?
A
  Insurance must be fully comprehensive and is not included in the monthly rental.

Q  Does the vehicle have a warranty?
A
  Yes, it comes with the standard manufacturer warranty.

Q  Do you offer personal leasing?
A
  Yes, and many customers find this a far better solution to running a car themselves. We provide full maintenance contracts including vehicle purchase, delivery, road tax, servicing and disposal upon lease completion.

Q  Can I buy the vehicle at the end of the contract?
A
  If the car in question has been leased by a company then we can sell to the driver as a private individual.

Q  Do I have to take the car to a main dealer for servicing?
A
  If you have a maintenance contract, we will handle this for you, arranging collection and delivery too. If you have a non-maintenance contract, please refer to the manufacturer’s handbook.

Q  Are there mileage restrictions?
A
  Contracts are geared to your own individual mileage. Our minimum is 5000 miles per annum and our maximum is 75 000 miles per annum.

Q  Is breakdown cover included?
A
  Yes, on all maintenance contracts. If you have a non-maintenance contract, please refer to the manufacturer’s handbook.

Q  Are tyres included?
A
  Yes, on all maintenance contracts.

Q  Do I get a replacement vehicle should my car be off the road?
A
  Yes, if you have included a replacement vehicle in the contract. Otherwise this can be arranged on a
pay-per-use basis.

Q  Can you visit me to discuss leasing?
A
  Yes, we usually recommend a visit for all business lease customers to ensure we fully understand your requirements.
